My working experience
just realised that i forgot to update about my working experience.. boy, it was fantastic!! the people whom i was working for were really nice!!!! i was working for this Australian couple (F & A) who owned a production music company in Australia.
the booth was totally cool and they were very friendly people! imagine working in an environment where there was always a free flow of coke in the fridge behind the booth. i was an exhibitor by the way and the money was good. my job duty was basically to do some sorta PR, which was quite easily done, though some of the men were quite lecherous... they'd just stop to make conversation (e.g. "i walked all the way from the other end of the hall coz i couldn't resist coming up to talk to you pretty girls when i saw u at the other end!" Me: gimme a break, like u can see us from the other end) and it's quite blatant that they had no use for production music... and just to clarify, my job scope did not encompass wearing those skimpy outfits...
the exhibition that i was at was called Broadcast Asia 2005, which was also together with Communicasia 2005 where all the 3G phones were showcased and stuff... F let us walk around the halls and take photos with the various models, mascots etc... all these while we were supposed to be working... see how nice she is! saw a lot of devices which i would have never been able to see outside, so it was quite an experience. Met a lot of foreigners too.
A & F were always making us laugh.. and we even noted that there were 2 girls working for the Canon booth whose jobs were to just keep talking for the camera! haha.. interesting... took lotsa freebies from the various booths too. F even taught my friend and I a bit of numerology which was pretty fun! haha... She had this obsession with sweets and so she'll make us do our rounds around the hall to get free sweets for her... so cute! haha
it was really sad when it was time to go coz i really enjoyed their company. we promised to keep in touch and F will send me the photos that i took using her camera. will post it once i get hold of it =)
