Painter Chua and Hoon
hahaha.. okay, yesterday and today were painting days. With the help of Wei, my sis and my bro (he's really useful when it comes to painting tiny, hard-to-reach areas of the wall!! hahaha), I've finally completed the painting project!! Tough job, I tell you...
Now my room's a nice shade of peach... heehee.. enjoy!!!

Convocation!!!
Yippee!!! I've finally graduated!!! Or shall I rather say, WE have ALL GRADUATED!!!!! YAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! hahaha...
all the hard work, endless hours of project meetings, crazy project deadlines, mad rush for the printers in the FAL, the insanely long journey from Boon Lay to the east, the squishy 179 bus rides from NTU to the Boon Lay interchange, the 'fastest finger first' competition during the subject registration days, the cold feet before presentations, the 'to-be-seen' place (which is like our second home), the never-ending canteen queues etc etc... wow, I'm so gonna miss those times.. well, I would agree that they weren't exactly enjoyable at those points in time but now that I'm thinking back, I'm getting kinda nostalgic *pass the tissue please* All those memories of school and my very short hall life are gonna stay with me forever.
Well, and to the million dollar question of why did I choose NTU over SMU, the answer is simple. I did not regret choosing NTU over SMU though the former seem to have a bad rep of being dowdy. Actually, I've always believed that it is not the school that makes school life interesting but the friends that you mix with. I entered NTU, knowing minimal people in NBS. But, everyone in school's nice, friendly and helpful and I made loads of good and goofy friends... Really, it's the friends that you make in school that count. Oh yar, and for the umpteenth time, NO, NOT EVERYONE here speaks MANDARIN or comes from the Motherland. Sorry for that outburst, I just HAD to clarify some stuff.. hahahaha...
So yup, enough of my nostalgia and ramblings, here are my grad photos!!!! =))))

I'm a friend of IKEA's!
wow, today's a madhouse day. Actually, it wasn't supposed to be so... I was supposed to stay home and pack all my stuff so that i'll have enough space to house new items (my revamping plan, remember?). But as it turns out, I didn't get to pack anything. Instead, I got dragged to IKEA by Wei. He was actually supposed to go with A but due to some miscommunications, A had already gone to IKEA with his sis and his other friend.
So, I had to get ready in a jiffy and rush down to IKEA. Well, I'm not complaining coz I was planning to go to IKEA tomorrow but now that Wei wants to go today, I'll just tag along and go today instead! Off we went and we managed to meet A, his sister and his friend there =P cool! But as they were rushing off to another destination, they left first.
After they left, Wei and I started exploring the place further. We spent such a LONG time at the frames section coz he couldn't decide what to get. Eventually, he bought like so many frames (gosh, hope his wall will have enough room to house all of them)! Then we met a mutual friend, CY! That was really cool coz we both haven't seen him in ages! He was there with his hall mates shopping for some hall stuff... pleasant surprise =)
So at the end of the day (which is like after 5 hours plus in IKEA), my shopping list is as follows:
1) A glass frame
2) A metal grid-like thing (this is to hang all my jewellery)
3) 2 wall shelves
4) A rocking chair
5) A floor lamp
6) A book end
7) A set of key plugs
8) A cable reel
9) A pretty cushion case
10) 2 panel curtains
11) A curtain wire
With help from Wei, the total damage was $306... haha, that's enough for me to become an IKEA friend! hahaha... yup, so now that I'm one, anyone who needs to buy any 'benefit items', just let me know yea? heehee
Up next, room painting!!!!!!!!!

Old Skooled
My 2 major flaws in life:
1)
Judgment - I know that we all shouldn't judge other people. But I just have this bad habit of passing judgements on others from their mannerisms and all. I know I shouldn't but I just can't help it. Bad habit, which is hard to kick. I have to change somehow.
2)
Indecisiveness - I just can't decide what I wanna do at times and that's why I seem to be at crossroads frequently.
And I think I can be quite a spite ball when I want to... Oh no, HELP!

My thoughts
gosh, I'm still having my tummyaches even after medication... argh!!! I dun wanna be sick!!! =(( but anywho, other than that unpleasant factor, I'm a happy person. Most important reason being that I'm really living in pure bliss everyday! I love my crazy, wacky and very lovable family AND of course, my darling baby - Wei =) He's been such a sweetie ever since he came back from France (no, it's not because he did something bad there and is trying to make up for it.. hahaha)! Extra patient, nice, giving, loving etc etc etc....... such a sweetie pie *gushes*... he must have realised what a gem I am after travelling with so many females who are totally not in my league... hehehehe
Enough of gushing, I want to blog about something serious. While I am living in pure bliss, I know of others who aren't and are in fact going through rollercoaster times. First things first, I have to admit that at times, guys aren't the only jerks around. Girls can be quite "jerkish" too. I mean, I have heard of many cases where the girl just take the guy for a ride and think it's perfectly okay. I dun wanna be too specific here so I'm just gonna make generalisations. I dun believe that any girl should hug/kiss/hold hands with a guy if she's not gonna start a relationship with him. Fair enough right? If it is a case of the girl not knowing that the guy is already attached (
like one of my poor friend who got cheated), then I really sympathise with her and will join her in her crusade against the guy after the truth be told. BUT, if the girl already has a bf and yet still keeps giving the wrong signals (
eg: doing the abovementioned, going out on 1-to-1 dates, telling him she likes him - you get the drift) to the guy who understands from her that she's gonna break up with her bf (
read: which is a blatant lie), then I think this poor guy's the victim here and the girl ought to be hanged.
In the first place, I can't even imagine why anyone would do that. Yes, no doubt, we all live in the 21st century, which is one where the culture/society is open. But I believe that certain conservations would still have to be kept to at least keep oneself dignified and not cheapened.
So whoever said that guys are always the players should really eat up his/her words. I am a feminist but I cannot condone such disgusting acts which I feel are totally uncalled for and embarrassing to the entire female specie.
My sincere apologies if this came across too harsh or heavy. Just wanted to get myself heard =)
Disclaimer: I am not trying to ostracize or offend anyone here. Please take this with a pinch of salt and pardon my bluntness if you do not agree with what I've written. Once again, my sincere apologies.

busy busy busy...
Think I'm down with something. Been having the runs since last night and my stomach hurts like mad.. Argh! But, even with all those symptoms, I outdid myself and stayed up to watch the Finals last night with Wei. =) An exciting match, indeed! I was rooting for France so currently, I'm still grieving over their loss *sob sob* Gosh, when Zidane was sent off, I went mad!!!!! WHY WHY WHY!!! But anyway, I'll get over it very soon...
Woke up super duper late coz I got home at about 5 plus... Bad, coz I was supposed to get up early to open an account with POSB for payroll purposes... AND today is the day that I'm supposed to go back to NTU to collect my transcripts and stuff. Didn't wanna go initially coz I kept getting recurring tummyaches but I eventually did (coz my dad was nice enough to send me to school.. THANKS DAD!). Then I had to rush to POSB to open an account before they close at 430... So thanks to Dad again, we managed to speed down to the POSB Bank near my place and I entered the bank at 420! hahaha.. JIT!!!
I already have an existing savings account with POSB since young (for REAL saving purposes - this means no ATM function.. hee). So I thought I could just open a second account for my paycheck and daily spendings but NO... he said that if i wanted to open a separate account for payroll purposes, I'll have to do it at DBS coz there can only be one savings account to one name at each bank. DANG! I was like ??!!? Okay, nvm.... since I need to have a POSB account urgently, I agreed to use the existing account and apply for an ATM card for it. *wails* But at least something good came outta it. =)
POSB Bank has this new thing called the POSB GO! card. It's an ATM/NETS/MASTERCARD all rolled into one! cool, aye??? So that means, it's kinda like a debit card but I can also "Nets it!"... hahaha... so cool!!! So of course, I requested for it to make myself happy =P Oh but the bad thing is that unlike the usual ATM card which is for a lifetime, this one has a life span of 10 years so after 10 years, I'll have to go renew this card... Small issue, if you ask me.. hehe..
So yes peeps!! Quick go change your dowdy-looking gray POSB ATM card for this new one.. It's free and it's so functional!!!!! =))))))))))

Wei's back!
Wei's FINALLY back from Europe... gosh, any later and I'm gonna gorge his eyes out! hahaha... kidding lar, i'm so nice... muahahaha... He bought so much stuff back!!! And I happen to be the recipient of quite a number of stuff which he bought... haha... yes, yes feel envious... muahahahaha!
Been spending time together since he came back, but I guess maybe it's because he had been gone for so long, the 2 days that we were out together didn't quite feel 'enough'. I'm not a possessive girlfriend (everyone should know that!) but somehow I just felt like we should be spending more time together, to make up for lost time - in a sense. Anywho, today's just the 3rd day since he's back so I shouldn't be too sensitive... I am also quite used to doing things on my own now, like going shopping, running errands etc. Don't know whether that's good or bad but I'd like to think that it's good.. haha.. No 'excessive' phonecalls too.. that's good news to most guys I think.. hahaha...
Anyway, I was at Parkway this afternoon running errands - well, it inevitably turned into a shopping trip (hey i was alone and there was nothing else to do except shop! haha). And some force unknown to me pulled me towards the Charles and Keith outlet... I swear all I wanted was to just head for the bus stop and go home!!! Okay, I couldn't resist the force and I *gasp* went into the shop. Geez, I really liked this pair of covered toe heels (view it
here) which will go very well with all of my working attires!! It's going at $35 and I had this internal battle going on in my head...
A: "Don't buy it! You've already got 3 pairs of covered toe heels for work!"
B: "Come on, Kelly... The shoe's really nice! Plus, outta your 3 pairs of heels, one is a slip-on (which would be informal), one has such a sharp front (which gives you blisters 100% of the time though it looks fabulous) and the last one's brown with quite a low heel. You NEED a comfortable pair of BLACK heels."
A: "Noooooooo... don't make anymore impulsive buys! Plus you're broke!!"
So eventually, I decided to go home and think about it first... oh gosh, I REALLY hate such internal battles.. Argh!! The best solution, I realised just a few minutes ago, is to receive it as a birthday present... hahahahaha... So someone please buy it for meeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Girlies' Attack!
Wow, i definitely had a great time last night! the potluck at my place was such a blast!!! hahaha... as usual, there'll be LOTSA left overs.. but the food was not too bad =P My fave was the Chocolate Pistachio Cake that Jean bought from Cedele.. Gosh, it's every chocoholic's dream to have that one tiny weeny bite off that cake... YUMMY!!! =))))
Geri's salad was healthy, wholesome and nice; Qiu's pasta was not too bad either (appreciate the time and effort put in!!); Alicia's sandwiches were very 'stuffed' and yummy; Junwan's drinks kept us hydrated and the snacks were perfect for munching; my mom's curry was superb; and Jean's cake, like i mentioned, was perfect!
There we have it, a feast!!! so much so that we couldn't finish and had quite a bit of leftovers.. haha
We all had a good time as always.. really love hanging out with the girls!! haha.. all the harmless jibes about each other, all the gossips, all the laughter... hahaha... love them!! Last night, we were all watching the encore telecast of the Singapore Idol Wildcard Round. My, we were all sitting in front of the telly, commenting on the contestants, laughing at the lamest things (e.g. those dumb SMSes that flash on the bottom of the screen), taking photos, criticising the judges etc etc... simply hilarious! heehee...
Eventually, Alicia stayed behind to watch the entire England vs Portugal match while the rest went off.. Must admit that everyone of us in front of the telly (Alicia, myself and my family) thought Peter C. was a complete joke.. haha.. think we spent more time laughing at his antics than watching the game proper... hahaha... Alicia was so upset when Rooney got sent off (her favourite lar.. hee) and the game didn't look good for England. Yup, and they lost.
By then it was late so Alicia stayed over for the night... so instead of watching the Brazil match at 3am, we were having our own ('Chua' sisters) girlie chat in my room.. haven't had such a long heart-to-heart chat in ages!! talked about practically everything under the sun... hee.. gosh, by the time we really went to bed, i think it was 6+! haha.. Love the fact that we're so close that we can talk about really everything and not feel embarrassed or anything (same goes for the rest of the girlie gang.. yes girls, I haven't forgotten about all of you.. hahaha)
So yes, Geri girl, hope you had a great time too!! My pleasure to have organised it... was fun! hahaha =)
And Alicia, all the best to your new phase in life! =)
