poor birdie....
okay folks, something really weird just happened this evening.. I was having my usual telly time, watching SuperBand on Channel U when my bro insisted that I had to accompany him to the bathroom. He claimed that he was gonna die from coughing (coz he's suffering from a really bad cough) and he wanted someone to watch over him in case he dies in the bathroom (that I thought was hilarious.. hahaha). So being the super nice sis that I was, I accompanied him to the bathroom.
Then the weird thing happened. We starting hearing this squeaky noise from outside the house. In fact, it was really loud. So my maid and I decided to go have a look. My bro shouted from the loo that it was a bird coz he saw this bird loitering outside our house this afternoon. At that point in time, i thought it was rubbish since the bird would have flown away since this afternoon. BUT, when my maid and I went out to see, it was the BIRD indeed!! omg!!! It was all wet (coz it poured in the afternoon) and it just laid there squeaking away!! Both of us really didnt know what to do. After a split second, the bird stopped squeaking. And I thought it was dead, so I started freaking out.. My sis was having tuition in the living room at that time and sensing the huge commotion at the back of the house, her tutor and herself came to find out what's the problem. So my maid and I told them. The tutor went to take a look and said that the bird wasn't dead since it seemed to be breathing, maybe it was injured. *Thank goodness*
By then, my bro had finished bathing and he too came and join in the crowd. So the 4 of us (excluding the maid, who went back to her dinner), just stared at the bird from the window. We came to the conclusion that it must have fallen off its nest coz it was raining quite heavily this afternoon. Poor thing.
Eventually, my mom and dad came home. We got C to put the injured bird into a shoebox coz my mom was afraid that if we were to leave it there, presumably for mummy bird to come take it back, our neighbour's cat might just eat it up before mummy bird comes. So now the poor little bird is in the shoebox downstairs. I must admit that I was pretty freaked out coz the drenched bird really look very gross...
And my sis has concluded that there's a bird nest resting on top of the tiny roof over the window in my parent's room. I sure hope there aren't any outside my window...

It's trueee!!
It just hit me a couple of days ago that W is REALLY leaving for France some time soon (for a summer exchange program). OMG!!!! On one hand, i'm actually happy for him, but on the other hand, i really hate to see him go for like 1 1/2 months. =(
Actually, I've been gushing about all the places that he'll be able to go to and stuff... haha.. Venice, Paris, Rome, London etc etc... aaaawwwww.... my LV wallet, Gucci bags *drools*... but just for the record, i'm not gonna force him to get me those stuff... hey, i'm no money grubber!! but he can always volunteer to... hahaha... In fact, I'm actually more interested in the experiences and photos that he'll be sharing with me once he's back (i'll try to steal some of them and post them here! sssshhhh..)
Well, in the meantime, i'll just have to find things to occupy myself with during his period of absence. Girls, if you're reading this, you should know what to do... (read: ask me out!!) hahaha... as in seriously.. i'll be so bored!!
Anywho, I believe this separation would only serve to strengthen our relationship. I have faith! =)
As for now, it's back to the books.. exams are coming.. eewww...

shopping!!
The day started off not too bad.. the first quiz in the morning was pretty easy! =) then the day started to get worse coz the second quiz sucked like hell. I've never ever blindly guessed any MCQ answers before BUT today was the first time i actually did that. Didn't feel good coz i know i could have done it if i got more time!! how to finish a 20-MCQ quiz in 1 hour when out of the 20 MCQs, at least 15 needed intense calculations... argh...
Oh well, at least the rest of the day was not too bad. Met S in town for a quick dose of shopping... haha.. hey, i really needed retail therapy after that horrendous quiz!! heee... and i forgot to bring my wallet... hahaha... so i had to sponge off S for some of the stuff that i bought.. hee.. THANKS GIRL!! =)
Levi's at Taka had a sale going on and some of the jeans were going at $20!! CHEAP!! but i bought a pair of shorts instead of jeans... figured i needed the former more.. Then we headed down to Far East Plaza where S got a pair of chilli red heels.. HOT!! but the shopkeeper took so long to clean up the dirt marks on the shoes that we spent quite some time there... good, coz i got to rest my tired feet! heehee... And then, i bought a really nice top!!! like it so much!!! haha.. it's quite a flowy top that actually accentuates my *ahem* 'barely there' front... *grin*
so now, i'm back from all the shopping and my feet hurts from walking so long... i'm tired but contented! haha... despite being tired, i've not forgotten about my duties as a girlfriend... hee.. i'm gonna visit wei now with a little surprise =) TTFN!!

The most unfortunate day...
I would like to think that I lead an interesting and rather different life. haha... My friend, S, wanted to rename her blog as "Kelly's Antics" to reflect things that happen to me each day... That's a POSITIVE confirmation of how interesting my life is... muahahahaha...
Okay, that's enough bragging.. =)
Today's really the most unfortunate day (I refuse to use THAT word that starts with a 'U' and ends with a 'Y'... that just sounds more ominous than unfortunate... to me at least =P). I shall list the entire day's unfortunate events in chronologically.
1) I went to the canteen to get drinks. While trying to juggle 2 cups of hot drinks, I spilt REALLY HOT tea on to my hand and some of it splattered onto the nice and clean
WHITE blouse that I was wearing. Now, that sucked.
2) While waiting for the darn shuttle bus to get to Canteen 2, a dumb lizard dropped on my head!!!! Can you believe that?!?!?
What happened was: I felt something drop on my head and thinking that it was some leaf, I just casually tried to sweep it away using one hand. To my utmost
HORROR, I saw a damn bloody lizard on my hand!! Both S and I started screaming and jumping around like 2 mad women, while I was frantically trying to flick it off my hand... ARGH!! GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! And I was so derailed and traumatised after that that I started feeling like there were "things" dropping on my head even though there was none.
3) After that lizard incident, I went to the toilet to wash up. So everything was fine UNTIL i was back at the darn bus stop. Without thinking, I just tried sitting down on those seats at the bus stop. Then S was like, "Hey! Issit wet?" (Coz it was raining before that). But by then, it was a bit too late so half my butt was already on the seat. So there I was with the wet butt, while S was laughing her head off AGAIN!! hahaha...
So that's how my eventful day went.... gosh, think i should just go and sleep before more lizards decide to make my head their resting place... eeeeeeeewwwwwwwww

i'm such a klutz!!!
well, i'm starting to think i'm such a clownster... on the other hand, i would just like to think i'm humourous... wahahahaha... was just reading my friend's blog and then i came to realise that HEY! I can make a living as an entertainer, man! hahaha...
It all started on monday afternoon where my 306 group members all gathered to have a discussion for our upcoming presentation. I flaunted my almost perfect knowledge of the Chinese language, only to receive endless giggles from the rest of the girls... HEY! i was trying!! haha.. at least i can differentiate a bi4 hu3 and a bian3 fu2! *wink* haha... And i've also come to learn that mushrooms are called "mo2 gu1" and not "xiang1 gu1"... heee... can't blame me for that! I learnt that "xiang1 gu1" thing from the mushroom packs that my mom buys!! So it can't be wrong right?? Maybe it's just another variation of mushrooms? hee...
And then we proceeded to think of what prizes to give away during our presentation (we were gonna ask questions throughout the presentation and then get the class to answer... u know, that kinda thing...). And suddenly i just burst out laughing coz i had this funnily mean thought in my head......... hahahaha... thinking about it now, just makes me laugh!! hahahaa
Here's what i thought: Our dearest P.L. wears dentures. This is a fact as he is often caught playing with them, by some of our group members. Eeeww... I know. Okay, so I suggested buying toothpastes and toothbrushes for the winning group. Then we can take the opportunity to teach the class proper oral hygiene. After talking about proper oral hygiene, we will end if off by saying something like, "And yes, you would wanna take care of your only set of teeth as you would not want to be caught dead wearing and PLAYING with dentures at the age of 50" and staring straight into P.L.'s eyes. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..... kk, i know that's mean but it was so funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahhaahhaha....
But of course, after a good laugh, the idea was scrapped as we won't wanna risk failing that module.. hahaha...
And today, I felt so victimised on the train! I was sitting at this corner seat (you know, the seat nearest to the panel at the side) and then next to me sat this really fat auntie. At first, the train trip was fine coz we were both awake. Then the auntie decided that she was too tired so she began taking 40 winks. But alas, she couldnt keep her head nor her body straight! So she kept leaning over to my side. At this point, I started to wonder why does she only lean to my side and not the other side. Then i realised that the person on her other side is a guy and that's why she kept leaning over to MY side. ARGH! Like i mentioned, she's this damn fat auntie... so can you imagine the poor me??!! I was like squashed between HER and the panel! And she didn't bulge even when i started like shifting my arm, which was squashed beneath her elephant arm, around! Gosh, some people just like to take advantage... I mean, if you want to sleep on the train, please practise some self constraint. I think by practising that, you are actually showing respect to both yourself and whoever who's sitting beside you. I find it a really ugly sight when a sleeping passenger can't control his/her head motion and starts bobbing around with the motion of the train or worse still, leans on another passenger, who obviously seems like a stranger and starts drooling.. Urgh!
k, i guess that's enough ranting for the day. I shall retire to my lair... =)
