not too bad at all...
haha.. i'm so pleased with myself... though i'm still not blogging everyday, at least i'm doing it more often these days... heeehee... anywho, this week had been an okay week so far... except the fact that i fell sick on wed night and couldn't join my friends for the mad MNG rush on thursday! so infuriating!!
before i bitch about the MNG sale, let me tell u about the zoo trip!! haha... it was so fun!! Wei and I were supposed to have gone with my sis and her bf. but the poor girl came down with high fever in the morn, so she couldn't go. So i brought my bro instead! he's such a goofball to start with so i knew at the back of my head that the trip was gonna be so much fun! haha...
our first stop was to the sealion show... we brought our lunch in coz we were kinda running late for the show... so there we were sitting right at the back of the Shaw Foundation Amphitheatre. it was barely 5 mins into the show when my bro and wei spotted this black chimpanzee sitting on some rope which was hanging on top of the theatre. it stretches from the top all the way to the stage at the bottom (i.e. the seats were staggered). At first we were pretty fascinated and i actually took a photo of it... it looked as though it was scouting for something, observing its surroundings etc... BUT ALAS, that darn monkey suddenly came down from the rope and scared the people sitting right beneath it!!!! at that point in time, none of the folks at the back were actually watching the show anymore.. we were all fearing for our lives!!!!! (okay, maybe at least i was...) the black chimpanzee came down and grabbed a KFC plastic bag from behind a poor man's back and then climbed back up on the rope and went back to the roof of the walking path which was right behind the openspaced theatre. The stupid monkey then went on to throw the emptied burger casing down, hitting someone on the head!!! NO CIVIC MINDEDNESS.... what i felt was worse was that the zookeepers in front saw what was happening but didn't doing anything about it!! then again, come to think of it, the whole scene was quite hilarious... haha... coz after seeing the black chimpanzee grabbing the man's KFC plastic bag, i remembered that we had a KFC plastic bag too and it was under Wei's legs.. haha.. and i was like a frantic woman trying to get him to throw it away before the dumb monkey come and get us... haha... later on, i realised that we still had a packet of cheese fries in it... ahhhhhh... what a waste!!! i simply adore cheese fries!!! hahaha... i can be an ambassador for them!!!! hahaha....
anywho, after the black chimpanzee incident, we went on to walk around the zoo. then we came across this father and daughter who were trying to get a decent photo taken in front of the antelopes.. Wei, my bro and I were just walking past when we heard some wet splattering sound.. then we realised what it was... A HUGE BIRD (which my bro says it's a seagull) WAS SITTING ON THE TREE ABOVE THEM, HAPPILY SHITTING AWAY!!!!! oh gosh, i know it was mean to laugh but it was so so so so funny!!! hahahahaha...
those 2 incidents were the most memoreable ones lest the one where i was scared silly by a racoon family in the fragile forrest and later on forced by my brother to buy a soft top which resembled a raccoon from the memorabilia shop.
okay so enough about the zoo trip, let me move on to the MNG sale. I was supposed to meet D.L and C early thursday morning to be the first few customers at the MNG sale. but as luck would have had it, i fell sick on wed night after coming back from the zoo (now come to think of it, it was probably my retribution for laughing at the bird shit incident in the zoo). so yea, i couldn't join them but crazy kel decided to grit her teeth and head for a nearby outlet just to take a look. so there i was at the parkway MNG, squeezing in the crowd and dabbing my nose with tissue. My bro and my sis, who was running a fever, came along with me as well (talk about the crazy sisters). We brought our brollies (coz it was hot outside and we were sick) but they soon got in the way coz we ended up poking everyone there and my bro poked my ass with it while i was trying to pick something from the floor. right...
but at the end of the day, we managed to get quite good deals. thanks to this lady. She came the week before to reserve and she had like 3 big bags of clothes. She kindly allowed us to sieve through those that she didn't want(most of the designs weren't on the racks anymore), mainly because she was gonna hit $1K and she was trying to reduce that amount. so yea, we picked out a few which we thought were really good. when we left, she was still thinking and picking out stuff to reduce the amount even more. Really grateful to her for being so nice!!! hee... okay, that's it for now... think my entry is getting a bit too long. I'll share about my marina square experience another time!! =)

My working experience
just realised that i forgot to update about my working experience.. boy, it was fantastic!! the people whom i was working for were really nice!!!! i was working for this Australian couple (F & A) who owned a production music company in Australia.
the booth was totally cool and they were very friendly people! imagine working in an environment where there was always a free flow of coke in the fridge behind the booth. i was an exhibitor by the way and the money was good. my job duty was basically to do some sorta PR, which was quite easily done, though some of the men were quite lecherous... they'd just stop to make conversation (e.g. "i walked all the way from the other end of the hall coz i couldn't resist coming up to talk to you pretty girls when i saw u at the other end!" Me: gimme a break, like u can see us from the other end) and it's quite blatant that they had no use for production music... and just to clarify, my job scope did not encompass wearing those skimpy outfits...
the exhibition that i was at was called Broadcast Asia 2005, which was also together with Communicasia 2005 where all the 3G phones were showcased and stuff... F let us walk around the halls and take photos with the various models, mascots etc... all these while we were supposed to be working... see how nice she is! saw a lot of devices which i would have never been able to see outside, so it was quite an experience. Met a lot of foreigners too.
A & F were always making us laugh.. and we even noted that there were 2 girls working for the Canon booth whose jobs were to just keep talking for the camera! haha.. interesting... took lotsa freebies from the various booths too. F even taught my friend and I a bit of numerology which was pretty fun! haha... She had this obsession with sweets and so she'll make us do our rounds around the hall to get free sweets for her... so cute! haha
it was really sad when it was time to go coz i really enjoyed their company. we promised to keep in touch and F will send me the photos that i took using her camera. will post it once i get hold of it =)

timetable blues
okay, i've always known that fixing up the timetable was never gonna be an easy task. but somehow, i still believed in the "every cloud has a silver lining" saying. so off i went to school today, with high hopes of getting that 3-day week which i had been planning for for quite some time now. thought i had a pretty good chance since the classes that i chose had quite a lot of vacancies.
took up a good spot in the lab and waited for the time. but alas, who was to know, the darn computer screwed up on me at the vital last minute! i couldn't even get to register one subject and before i knew it, all my desired timeslots were gone! i had to log into another computer to register my subjects and by then, it was too late. i ended up with a 5 day school week and 3 830 classes. HOW SUCKY!! on second thoughts, the timetable could have been worse... at least now i've got super relaxed days though i have to go to school everyday... argh
the silver lining was that at least i have 3 friends with me who have the same timetable and that i managed to get my prescribed elective. i'm like so so so demoralized... but anywho, i've written in to complain about the system together with the rest of the people in the lab who experienced the same problem. so hopefully the school would do something about the system and give me what i want.... growl....
today's been quite a gloomy day... weather's been rainy, S's granddad passed away, LP just broke up with her boyfriend... maybe it's just today... everything would be fine tomorrow, i'll just have to be optimistic... at least i know i'm going to the zoo tomorrow!! *grin*

Resolution to Start Anew
oh gosh, it's been 3 months since i last blogged... i'm really inconsistent! now, i resolve to blog more consistently... think i said that some time ago but oh well...
the semester has finally ended... results weren't fantastic but at least i think they were okay.. i'm hoping for a second-upper... still hoping since i'm not a dean lister.. haha... that's like my goal every semester to make it to the dean's list but apparently, things always crop up along the way (eg. the lazy bug). so yea, you know... *guilty*
i've a lot of issues to grapple with recently... i seriously think i'm suffering from a failing mind. i can't seem to remember stuff or focus on what i'm doing. then came the HK trip which had lotsa hiccups but thankfully everything's fine now and i'm still going. *phew* all those procrastinations almost cost me a trip!!
i'm starting work for a short term next week. think i'll have to stand on heels for like 8 hours a day.. gosh, i fear for my legs but the money is good so i'm putting my best foot forward! haha... grateful that i've got a friend to work with... that's like a boosting factor...
these days, i've been thinking a lot since i've got lotsa spare time during the hols. i'm quite a taker rather than a giver. one very good example is how i always pray to God for help when i need him. i'd ask for good grades, good health etc and i just take, take, take from Him without giving much back. i can't wake up on time to go for morning service, i often forget to thank Him after being blessed with what i prayed for.
In relationship as well, but this time i think i do give. like how i have to accommodate to certain issues and stuff. it's getting kinda tiring and i'm starting to wonder whether it's all worth it. i know that a person and his background are 2 different entities but sometimes, u just can't separate them both no matter how hard u think they are different. One would undoubtedly affect the other. gosh, it can be such a toil. then i start to think how long do i have to put up with this, how much more can i tolerate and accommodate. i admit that i do take more than i give but it seems like nowadays, i do my fair share of giving as well. i think i have a lot of issues with his background. it's a huge contradiction. i dun agree with things being done over there and yet i emphatize with his position when he tries to be nice to both parties. i can't make too much comments or it'd seem like i'm slamming them.
no one ever said life was easy right... i'm seriously considering this and whether it's worth the effort at all.. it's getting too draining emotionally... urgh!
