not too bad at all...
haha.. i'm so pleased with myself... though i'm still not blogging everyday, at least i'm doing it more often these days... heeehee... anywho, this week had been an okay week so far... except the fact that i fell sick on wed night and couldn't join my friends for the mad MNG rush on thursday! so infuriating!!
before i bitch about the MNG sale, let me tell u about the zoo trip!! haha... it was so fun!! Wei and I were supposed to have gone with my sis and her bf. but the poor girl came down with high fever in the morn, so she couldn't go. So i brought my bro instead! he's such a goofball to start with so i knew at the back of my head that the trip was gonna be so much fun! haha...
our first stop was to the sealion show... we brought our lunch in coz we were kinda running late for the show... so there we were sitting right at the back of the Shaw Foundation Amphitheatre. it was barely 5 mins into the show when my bro and wei spotted this black chimpanzee sitting on some rope which was hanging on top of the theatre. it stretches from the top all the way to the stage at the bottom (i.e. the seats were staggered). At first we were pretty fascinated and i actually took a photo of it... it looked as though it was scouting for something, observing its surroundings etc... BUT ALAS, that darn monkey suddenly came down from the rope and scared the people sitting right beneath it!!!! at that point in time, none of the folks at the back were actually watching the show anymore.. we were all fearing for our lives!!!!! (okay, maybe at least i was...) the black chimpanzee came down and grabbed a KFC plastic bag from behind a poor man's back and then climbed back up on the rope and went back to the roof of the walking path which was right behind the openspaced theatre. The stupid monkey then went on to throw the emptied burger casing down, hitting someone on the head!!! NO CIVIC MINDEDNESS.... what i felt was worse was that the zookeepers in front saw what was happening but didn't doing anything about it!! then again, come to think of it, the whole scene was quite hilarious... haha... coz after seeing the black chimpanzee grabbing the man's KFC plastic bag, i remembered that we had a KFC plastic bag too and it was under Wei's legs.. haha.. and i was like a frantic woman trying to get him to throw it away before the dumb monkey come and get us... haha... later on, i realised that we still had a packet of cheese fries in it... ahhhhhh... what a waste!!! i simply adore cheese fries!!! hahaha... i can be an ambassador for them!!!! hahaha....
anywho, after the black chimpanzee incident, we went on to walk around the zoo. then we came across this father and daughter who were trying to get a decent photo taken in front of the antelopes.. Wei, my bro and I were just walking past when we heard some wet splattering sound.. then we realised what it was... A HUGE BIRD (which my bro says it's a seagull) WAS SITTING ON THE TREE ABOVE THEM, HAPPILY SHITTING AWAY!!!!! oh gosh, i know it was mean to laugh but it was so so so so funny!!! hahahahaha...
those 2 incidents were the most memoreable ones lest the one where i was scared silly by a racoon family in the fragile forrest and later on forced by my brother to buy a soft top which resembled a raccoon from the memorabilia shop.
okay so enough about the zoo trip, let me move on to the MNG sale. I was supposed to meet D.L and C early thursday morning to be the first few customers at the MNG sale. but as luck would have had it, i fell sick on wed night after coming back from the zoo (now come to think of it, it was probably my retribution for laughing at the bird shit incident in the zoo). so yea, i couldn't join them but crazy kel decided to grit her teeth and head for a nearby outlet just to take a look. so there i was at the parkway MNG, squeezing in the crowd and dabbing my nose with tissue. My bro and my sis, who was running a fever, came along with me as well (talk about the crazy sisters). We brought our brollies (coz it was hot outside and we were sick) but they soon got in the way coz we ended up poking everyone there and my bro poked my ass with it while i was trying to pick something from the floor. right...
but at the end of the day, we managed to get quite good deals. thanks to this lady. She came the week before to reserve and she had like 3 big bags of clothes. She kindly allowed us to sieve through those that she didn't want(most of the designs weren't on the racks anymore), mainly because she was gonna hit $1K and she was trying to reduce that amount. so yea, we picked out a few which we thought were really good. when we left, she was still thinking and picking out stuff to reduce the amount even more. Really grateful to her for being so nice!!! hee... okay, that's it for now... think my entry is getting a bit too long. I'll share about my marina square experience another time!! =)
