Knowing God better

Today was supposed to be a really meaningful day for both Wei and I but since he isn't around, i spent the lazy afternoon doing bimbotic stuff like painting my nails in varying shades of blue... haha.. starting from black to navy blue to bright blue to fairytale blue to white.. heehee.. sorry but i'm a narcissist.. have to post a photo of my fingernails... =P

Girls, if you are interested in getting your nails done, you can come to me! I've a fetish for nail polishes... Plenty of them at home or you can bring your own and i'll do it for you =) BUT, since now i'm broke, i'll charge a nominal amount of $5 for each pair of hands! haha.. hey, i'm serious!

After so much about the nails, actually the main thing that I want to share with all you folks out there is how I have found a renewed interest in my religious faith - Christianity. To be really frank, I haven't been a faithful church-goer every Sunday. But, that doesn't discount the fact that I still believe in Christ the Lord, just that my faith isn't exactly very strong.

I was pretty surprised when my dearest cousin from Oz sent me an email a few days back. She converted to Christianity at around 17. In that email, she shared with me her testimony with Christ. I was very touched by her testimony and started pouring out all my thoughts and feelings about my relationship with Christianity. I must say that it was my first heartfelt and barest email to anyone.

She replied to my email and shared another person's testimony (Nick Vujicic). I was really moved and inspired by his words: "God won't let anything happen to us in our life unless He has a good purpose for it all." and "...I was given the wisdom to understand that if we pray for something, if it's God's will, it'll happen in His time. If it's not God's will for it to happen, then I know that He has something better."

All these words made reflect on myself and my life so far. Yes, I admit that I have felt really disgrunted at times about how things were going for me. But come to think of it, something good always come outta what I thought was bad initially.

These email exchanges really gave me a renewed sense of faith. Now, I'm actually curious to find out more about God and His goodness. Thanks couz. =)
